VIE History - Ohio Opens State Unemployment Records to 3rd Parties PDF Print E-mail

An October 1, 2003 memo from Ohio's Douglas J. Holmes, Asst. Deputy Director, Office of Unemployment Compensation, released updated rules regarding unemployment compensation.  Section 4141-43-03 - outlines disclosure of wage information to a consumer reporting agency.

ACCESS feels this is a clear violation of the FCRA.  This 3rd party disclosure fails to comply with requirements of the FCRA - such as, ability for consumer's to obtain their file annually free of charge and ability to see who all has reviewed this information.
