Paypal E-mails PDF Print E-mail
You see them all the time...offering you to become a "preferred" PayPal member or notifying you of a "security alert."  Here a quick and easy ways to identify fraudulent PayPal e-mails.

Fraudulent emails often include the salutation "Dear PayPal User" or "Dear PayPal Member" or  YOUR E-MAIL address or no salutation at all.

Emails from PayPal will address you by your first and last name or the business name associated with your PayPal account NEVER just your e-mail address.

Fraudulent emails may have a url beginning with https:// but no lock at bottom of screen.

When on a secured site, you should see BOTH https:// and the lock icon.

A url that begins with http:// is NOT a secured site and personal information should never be entered.

If you think that you have received a fraudulent email (or fake website), please forward the email (or URL address) to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and then delete the email from your mailbox.

Never click any links or attachments in a suspicious email.
